Catchy tune on “Good Morning, Las Vegas”

There is a very catchy tune on Las Vegas’ ABC affiliate, Channel 13, called “Good Morning, Las Vegas.” Was it performed by a local group? I can’t quite understand all of the lyrics. Can you help?

The song “Good Morning, Las Vegas” was crafted by jingle factory Stephen Arnold Music, which is based in Dallas. Stephen Arnold specializes in “sonic branding,” creating hooks for broadcast networks, cable channels, TV stations, digital media outlets, production companies, corporations, and advertising agencies. Uncredited studio musicians played the “Good Morning” tune, which Stephen Arnold Music Creative Director Chad Cook describes as “super catchy, but not like a typical pop song. We used handclaps, acoustic guitars, and whistles to make it energetic, relatable, and fun.”

The song was devised as a branding exercise for KTNV-TV’s eponymous morning show, debuting during last year’s Academy Awards telecast. Both the one-minute and 30-second versions are available online.

“We wanted to get the word out about our talent, some of whom were relatively new to the show,” said KTNV Promotions Manager Jenny Dolph.
