Question of the Day - 05 July 2019

Q:

Some years ago there was a Gospel Buffet somewhere in Vegas. I'm a big gospel fan and I heard good things about it, but I never had the chance to attend. My questions are: Do they still have a Gospel Buffet? If so, where is it? How much does it cost? What is on the menu? What are the hours? Who were the singers? If not, can you talk about the old Gospel Buffet? Also if there are any other ones in the Vegas area.

A:
The Gospel Brunch is at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay. It's still going strong, Sundays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It's $55 per person, but there's a two-fer in the LVA Member Rewards Book.

You can see the menu at this URL: http://www.houseofblues.com/lasvegas/gospelbrunch

The singers change regularly, so it's hard to say anything specific about them.

Note that this is a pretty loud and raucous Sunday brunch, so if you're at all hung over or want to engage in some conversation over your meal, you'll probably want to give this one a pass.

    50% off instead of twofer?
Has anyone tried to use this as a half-off rather than a twofer? People have reported success in using other buffet twofers that way in other locations. I'd love to experience the Gospel Brunch but haven't been able to talk anyone into coming with me, even at half off.

    I can't imagine why.

You've been hanging out with the wrong people.
