What can you tell me about Harrah's General Manager’s Club in Kansas City and Council Bluffs Iowa? Do any other Harrah's properties also have this type of club?
Actually, the Iowa General Manager’s Club is in Horseshoe Council Bluffs. (It’s easy to get it confused with Harrah’s Council Bluffs. We do it all the time.)
The General Manager's Club is a VIP lounge for "elite" players, featuring a “level of exclusivity. Elegance that will take your breath away. Excessive indulgence without apology."
Members get several perks, including a special buffet, food and wine tastings, exclusive drawings, slot tournaments, and, according to the website, "putt-putt golf with Horseshoe Casino General Manager Bo Guidry.”
Although it’s not publicized and Caesars Entertainment’s public-relations staff hadn’t heard of the General Manager’s Clubs, players say they're strictly for high rollers. Seven Stars and Diamond-tier players with 35,000 tier credits can gain access.
Occasionally, lower-tier players are allowed in. A slot-tournament participant in Council Bluffs was comped to the club and dispatched the following: “Very good setup. I think they always have fruit, cheese, snacks. Nice bar and table service. Set times for a decent buffet with good food choices. What I especially liked was the GM wasn't crazy crowded like the Diamond lounges.”
The latter refers to the more widely spread Diamond Lounge, also for premium players. These can be found at a number of Harrah’s and Horseshoe properties around the country.
