Question of the Day - 25 February 2023

Q:

What is Station Casinos building on the land it owns in the Inspirada subdivision in Henderson? Have they started construction yet? If so or even not, is there a planned opening date?

A:

The master-planned community of Inspirada is located in southwest Henderson, just south and east of M Resort about 15 miles south of the airport.

The 45 acres owned by Red Rock Resorts are located around the intersection of Via Inspirada, the main road through the subdivision, and Bicentennial Parkway, a mile-long road that connects Inspirada with Anthem, a huge upscale subdivision in southern Henderson. Currently, it's barren scrubland, but consistent with the Station Casino playbook, the land it owns is in a fast-developing portion on the outskirts of Las Vegas Valley.

Station's $600 million Inspirada Resort is planned to be a 900,000-square-foot building, including an 80,000-square-foot casino, 600 hotel rooms (triple the more expensive Durango Casino’s number of rooms), 30,000 square feet of meeting spaces, a cineplex, a bowling alley, an 11-unit food hall, and probably more. Brands and affiliations have yet to be announced. The first stage of a three-phase development is set to begin in January 2024, with the debut eyed for “possibly around” March 2025.

    Upscale pricing?
What do you suppose "upscale pricing" is for a new development in this area? Is this possibly a good investment for out of state buyers?

    Don't worry gkbii :D
If you have to ask it means you can't afford it.

    Inspirada Resort
This new Station Casinos location is about 5 miles southeast of the M Resort and 15-20 miles away from Caesars Palace. So it's definitely outside the main Vegas tourist area. But it's fairly close to the I-15 freeway for folks driving into Las Vegas area from California, so it might get a lot of those visitors. As the Red Rock Casino location in Summerlin has shown people will travel to a nice upscale place. And the distance from the Strip fratboy drink-until-you-puke type of visitor might be a good thing for those wanting to avoid that kind of crowd.

    Upscale
I heard that area (and Seven Hills) was supposedly the Beverly Hills of Henderson, but when you have a lot of barren desert around, is it really worth what they ask?

    A Mile Away
Inspirada will be a mile away from upscale Anthem, so . . .will they have a Costco?

    California Visitors
Hopefully rokgpsman is wrong about Californians visiting there. The area is too crowded already. Let them go to The Strip to gamble.

    Costco
There's a Costco on St Rose Pkwy, maybe 2-3 miles northeast of the M. While I'm not looking at a map, that seems reasonably close to the new development
