Have there been any rumblings about where the casino-hotel Loop stations will be located? In other words, will they be within reason or WAY out back, like the Monorail stations are?
Score one for reason.
One of the primary selling points for the Boring Company's Las Vegas Loop subterranean transportation system is that the stations will be located on or near the Las Vegas Strip, not way out yonder like the ill-fated Monorail’s. It’s still relatively early days for the Loop, as far as construction goes, but this is what we’ve learned about the first three hotel-casino Loop stations.
Westgate Las Vegas: This will be located in the front of the resort, near the current valet-parking station.
Encore: Completed July 12 with a projected inception of service in the first three months of next year, this one is “conveniently located near the existing Encore valet entrance, providing guests with a zero-emissions underground public-transportation alternative.”
Resorts World Las Vegas: The first resort to hop on the Loop bandwagon, Resorts World’s now-operational station is located within The District, across from the giant globe and near the Hilton porte cochere. Says PR representative Tyler Green, “An escalator takes guests into the entrance of the tunnels.”
Although the Loop is still evolving and the overall map is somewhat vague, it’s clear that accessibility has been a key concern. Given the siting of the Resorts World, Encore, and Westgate stations, that concern is obviously being met, at least so far.
