Q:

Wondering if you could tell us about the LVA staff? Always great customer service and I feel like many of them have been there a long time.

A:

Thank your for the kudos and for asking about the staff. Since it's specifically about customer service, we'll limit our remarks to that department.

It's true that some of us "have been here a long time" -- to wit, Tanya Maynard, who has 17 years in. Tanya's title is Main Manager, but that barely scratches the surface of what she does, which includes, but is certainly not limited to, training new employees and inculcating in them the customer-service-oriented company culture.

Due to the pandemic, we've experienced some turnover in the past few years, but once Paula Machado showed up as our receptionist/customer-service rep, it's been smooth sailing; Paula's the best CSR we've had in many years and better yet, she likes her job, so we expect her to stay here for a long time to come.

Taylor Mabe is our crack researcher, who also answers the phones.

The level of customer service provided by Paula, Taylor, and Tanya is, obviously, what prompted this question. We're very proud of our customer-service staff and it's always great to hear that others appreciate them too.

    customer service 
    almost 30 years and I think I've called once, that is good customer service I think.  Still the best product and resource in Vegas, thank you from a long-time customer.

    where is my book
    I ordered a book in December. On hold at first it will be sent  February , then March. now no reply to two e mails last week.

    Crack researcher?
    With so few support-staff employees, why are you designating one of them to doing research only on crack?  Is crack really that much a part of customers' interest or concern?  Does she also do research on marijuana usage?  . . . . .  Well, I guess if her research saves at least one addict, you can label her as LVA's heroine.

    Book delay
    I don't understand the no-reply-to-emails comment; we respond to all that we get. The book referred to is The Ultimate Report, by James Grosjean. Yes, we're guilty of a long delay from the promised delivery on this one. The reason is, it was decided that a concluding chapter had to be added and that simply took much longer than anticipated. It's an excellent addition to the book, and I stand behind the decision to delay. We're finishing production now and preparing to send to the printer, so it's still gonna be another 4-6 weeks before we get it back. Not cool, but that's the reality. Anyone desiring a refund will be obliged.

    When I lived in Las Vegas I always picked up my book from your office. Always had a great experience! I’m visiting Las Vegas next month since I moved to N.Y. and will visit your office to pick up my book when I arrive

    No book - no response to emails
    I ordered a Las Vegas Advisor book on January 31st… I have emailed multiple times and also posted on social media - no response to any emails or post - no refund of money and still no book! I have ordered in the past with no issues but this year has been horrible - I’m in Canada and don’t make many trips to Vegas so now this will be useless to me - very disappointed!

    After my post I got an email from LVA  said that my emails got lost in  their spam folder??. but I had ordered from them before with no problems.  who knows. good luck getting your book . may try calling them
