What’s Nick Kallos doing these days? I used to see him and Anthony sharing comments in a few Vegas shows on Discovery and The Learning Channel. Is his dealer school still open?
Nick Kallos still owns and runs the Casino Gaming School in Las Vegas, a well-established dealer-training program. After working his way up the casino-business ladder (he says he started as a porter at Caesars), he started the school 25 years ago and has trained over 12,000 students. The school has a reputation as one of the best (sometimes called the "Harvard of gaming schools") for preparing people for dealer jobs, with job-placement assistance and lifetime practice privileges for grads.
Nick is a leading authority on dealing protocols and has made numerous appearances on TV, including hosting the third season of "Vegas Challenge" with our own Anthony Curtis, taped at the Sahara and aired on The Travel Channel in 2004 as a lead-in show for the World Poker Tour. It featured contestants competing in blackjack, craps, roulette, and 3-Card Poker (with some variations). We couldn't find any videos of the episodes, but you can see photos of Anthony and him, looking mighty dapper, we must say, from them on the TV page on Nick's website.
We also couldn't come up any recent news, social media activity, or personal updates beyond the school. He seems focused on keeping the school going as a longtime fixture in Vegas' gaming training scene.
