What Poker Rooms Deal Games Other Than Texas Hold 'Em?

Are there any poker rooms in vegas that deal any other games besides texas hold em, like 7 card stud , 5 card stud like they used to?

It’s true that the games spread in the major poker rooms — Aria, Caesars, Bellagio, Venetian, Wynn, Mirage, and MGM Grand — and most of the smaller and local rooms sound like a broken record:

$1/$2, $1/$3, $2/$5, $5/$10, and $10/$20 No Limit Hold ’em;

$2/$4, $4/$8, $9/$18, and $20/$40 Limit Hold ’em;

and $1/$2 and $2/$5 Pot Limit Omaha Hi.

Several poker rooms — Aria, Bellagio, Caesars, Harrah’s, and Wynn — also deal $9/$18, $40/$80, $50/$100 and up Mix games, such as Badugi, badacy, 2-7 triple draw, and, in the words of a Vegas poker veteran, "a bunch of other goofy games I’ve never played."

As for stud, he says, "I haven’t seen a 5-stud game since the '70s."

You can still find a few 7-card Eight or Better stud games. Last time we checked, Suncoast had a $2/$10 stud 8/b and $4/$8 regular stud and Sam’s Town had $2/$10 stud. Bellagio also has a stud hi game, though we hear it usually only goes on the weekends and has much higher limits: $20/$40, $30/$60, and $50/$100.

Since we didn't call every poker room and ask about every game, if anyone can improve on the above lists, we'd very much appreciate it.

WSOP...

Go to the Rio during WSOP. There they have cash games of all types and all limits.

Any poker room will deal just about any game that you ask for. The problem is finding several other players to fill the table. That’s why the Rio during WSOP is my recommendation.

No Trop Room

Sorry, that was some way bad info. The Trop room has not been open since 2012 after making a run with the “Gold Room” that promoted frequent appearances by WSOP Main Event winner Jamie Gold.

You can see game lists for almost every room in Vegas.  The Westgate and Sam's Town are two that are not.

The Aria is the home of daily pot limit Omaha.  The Orleans is the one place with daily limit Omaha high low.  They have non hold em tournaments and I am, in fact, sitting in a HORSE tournament as I type this.

Stud games are rare and any regular game is of the once-a-week variety.  There are also occasional mixed games that pop up and are mentioned in a public Facebook group.  I have never played but they seem to favor exotic low-ball and split games.  If you don't know what badugi is, you will be lost.
