Question of the Day - 13 March 2025

Q:

Which players club is the best? I belong to a number of them, some that I like and some that I don’t. I’m partial to Caesars Rewards, because there's a Harrah’s casino relatively near to my home, so I can enjoy the benefits. But I don't like Boyd's, because of their structure. As a tourist visiting Las Vegas, the difference between Boyd’s Sapphire level (750 points per year) and Emerald (15,000 points per year) is too much to bridge in one or two visits. Consequently, once I hit 750 points, I stop and play elsewhere. Maybe the best players club is different for locals rather than tourists. I hear that South Point's players club is quite popular, despite being a standalone property.

So what say you?  Which players club gives you the most bang for your buck?

A:

This, of course, is impossible for us to answer in a Question of the Day.

There are, by our count, 33 players clubs in Las Vegas. We don't know the ins and outs of all of them and as stated in the question, our priorities are different than visitors' and, for that matter, other locals.

So we're turning it into a poll. As we see it so far, this will be a simple popularity contest, which will provide a certain amount of information, though not all. As for the subjective criteria, you'll be able to address that in the comments.

The poll will run a week from today.

Here's the list of players clubs in Las Vegas and please let us know if we missed any.

    Penn Play
Penn Play at the M, I like it because it is affiliated with my local casino. Not on the list, though.

I only have 2 now, Caesars and Mgm. I keep hoping for a Caesars casino in OK but hasn't happened.

The Bozo Club at the Golden Commode Casino and Hookah Bar awards you a plain bagel (no cream cheese) for your first $1,000,000 coin-in.

Oh, and the Slipping Silver's Super Dooper Pooper Scooper Rewards club offers eight cents off your resort fee and fifteen minutes' free parking for Plutonium level players.

    The problem with Caesars
This question actually answers what I'm about to say. The question asker likes Caesars because it has a location near his house. Not because it is the best. People play at Caesars because it has multiple locations. When I'm in Vegas, I look for benefits I can't get at home.

    Eldon
best players Club is Boyd. Provides invites with no problem if you have the reasonable required points.

    Best players club
As far as I've been able to determine, the My Rewards Boarding Pass (Stations) is pretty much useless for someone only plays table games at Stations properties. I quit showing mine a couple of years ago, when I received nothing of value from it because I only play blackjack there.

    Value add to site
Could this be something that LVA compiles and updates for its subscribers? Leave the opinions to the forums or the comments, and just provide the facts, like parking/resort fees. I see it as a huge value add that could be advertised and attract more business.

    I know, more work!

    Penn Play
I'm an out of state visitor (multiple visits per year). Penn play works for me. M Resort has free parking and club status lasts for a full year+.

How about 'None, they all suck' ?

  • stephen rosol Mar-13-2025
    good idea Patrick
it would be useful to see an actual data-based comparison -- the votes will mostly be what we feel, and since we all (at least me) are not doing a detailed comparison we may miss some decent benefits/plays that we don't know about. It is tedious and complicated almost like medical insurance since the answer will lie in how you use it, how often you use it, etc.....
