I always wondered about the early ads for Vegas World(Strat) in Playboy magazine. Marketing genius by Bob Stupak for a hotel deal on "the strip" when there was nothing else in sight:) for "miles"

Stop this nonsense!

The Strip begins where the city ends...at what is now Sahara Avenue. That is where the first Strip casinos were constructed deliberately to be outside the city limits of Las Vegas, and that is what defines the Strip. You can't be inside the city and be on the Strip. Other than that, I wish the Strat well.

Dispensaries aren't allowed on the Strip, and Essence is almost across the street from the Strat.

It's a bookend

In my mind, Bob Stupak's Substitute Penis, as in the Strat Tower, pretty much defines the northern terminus of the Strip and South Point defines its southern end. So to the extent that any boundary marker is inside the territory it defines, hell yeah, the Penis with Carnival Rides is on the Strip.

Yes It Is!!

As far as I am concerned if a portion of the bldg. sits on the strip; its considered to be on the strip. The side of the Strat sits on the strip.
