Question of the Day - 26 May 2026

Q:

What can you tell us about the Poodle Room?

A:

The Poodle Room is an exclusive members-only lifestyle and social club situated atop the 67-story Fontainebleau hotel tower.

Inspired by the 1950s original at the Fontainebleau in Miami Beach, the Poodle Room is an invite-only venue that offers panoramic views of the Strip, private bar, cigar room, outdoor patio, lounge areas, and 12-seat omakase restaurant, all surrounded by '80s decor with a poodle theme. Membership also includes admission for up to three guests with the member, automatic ranking in the highest-tier of Fontainebleau Rewards, access to the Oasis pool and fitness center, preferred room rates, complimentary valet parking, and 25% off at the Lapis Spa.

Specific membership pricing isn't publicly disclosed, requiring an application process just to inquire. But our back channels report that membership is $20,000 per year.

The dress code is "elevated, elegant, business-casual." Athletic wear, running shoes, gym caps, shorts, sweatpants, tank tops, swimwear, flip-flops, and large backpacks are disallowed.

According to a year-old article in Travel and Leisure, you're eligible for entry to the Poodle Room if: 1) you're a member; 2) you're a guest of a member; 3) you have a reservation at Ito, the omakase eatery there (offering a $400-per-person, 18-to-20-course, sushi experience); or 4) you're staying in one of Fontainebleau’s $1,500-a-night Fleur de Lis suites.

Any takers?

The T&L article also has a few photographs of this opulent venue

    FB-eye?
Kash Patel makes sure the liquor is up to snuff whenever he’s “working” in Las Vegas…

not one thing in that description intrigues me.

    Too late
I'm sure it is lovely, but it strikes me as 'more of the same', just a lot of glitz and glamour, fit and finish, that has pervated Las Vegas for decades. Been there, seen it, enjoyed it. Now they might better spend $$$ on what would attract the hoi polloi, though that ship has probably sailed on.

    not there...
I should clarify that I haven't been to the Poodle Room, not even to the Fontainebleau at all, yet. Just that, like Randall Ward said, I appreciate the photos, but see nothing to entice me there. Now, if they had some tables with playable minimums, I'd be there.

    The View
I was lucky enough to check it out as a guest of someone. The view is great and yeah it’s pretty cool, but I could find a better way to spend my $20k

    Gym cap?
Well if I can’t wear my ‘gym cap’ whatever the hell that is, I’m not going. But I bet the view and experience is pretty awesome and good for whoever can go! It’s obviously not the demographic of LVA subscribers and that’s fine also..

    Mr. Dulley
"It’s obviously not the demographic of LVA subscribers"??
I take umbrage sir! For ages now the boys and I have made it an annual tradition to start the day with a round of golf at Shadow Creek, and on to the Poodle Room's Cigar Bar for drinks and a Swisher Sweet (just one). From there it's back in the limo and downtown for the day's highlight, the LVA coupon run! I'll thank you not to be judging my LVA credentials sir!

  • Bob Nelson May-26-2026
    I wonder...
...if the $20k annual pinch gets you drinks included or those are another $100+ each.

  • John Dulley May-26-2026

It’s a general statement SIR, and a pretty obvious one imo..

And by ‘ages’ do mean 2 1/2 years, cus that’s how long the poodle room has been at FB lol?

  • dblund May-27-2026

It has been ages, but we may have been golfing at Craig Ranch...
... and we might have gone to Circus Circus for PBRs and cigarettes...
...So never mind. But I know the LVA coupon run was the highlight.
