Question of the Day - 01 June 2018

Q:

Just for fun, what is the shortest response (word count) you have ever responded to a QOD?  The Longest?

A:

The shortest QoD answer ever was one three-letter word. It was in response to the following question, posted on 8/15/2008: "I have noticed recently that you are reporting information, with a drop-down heading, for gays and lesbians. Are there that many in our society that this has to be listed too?"

Our answer: "Yes."

The longest answer also appeared in 2008, between 5/11 and 5/17, in response to the question: "I'd like to see how you would present the whole history of Vegas in the space of a magazine article." It turned into an epic seven-part 9,000-word survey, starting 500 million years ago and rushing headlong to the present day, at that time, just before the crash; we cited the impending Encore, CityCenter, and Cosmopolitan (all completed), Fontainebleau and Echelon Place (both remain, to this day, hulking casualties), and the Strip Plaza (which we don't ever remember what it was supposed to be).

And here we are, exactly 10 years and more than 3,650 QoDs later, still faithfully and daily answering your questions.
