This may have already been addressed in a Question of the Day, but what is your advice for going to Sphere to see the show? Days or times that are least busy? Best parking and walking places?
We've never answered these questions in a QoD, which makes them good candidates for today's. But we did cover them in the Las Vegas Advisor as blog posts in December 2023 after our visit the previous month.
We wrote three reviews: one of the movie Postcards from Earth, which we assume you're referring to here (and not the U2 concert film), another of the seating, and the third of parking. Together, they're the most extensive coverage of the Sphere scene we know of.
Here are the highlights.
In the review, we called Postcards from Earth "the most immense, immersive, and impressive movie the world has ever seen," even at ticket prices that start at $88 (down from $100 when we saw it, which probably means that demand has softened since then). And with 14-16 shows per week, any time is good for attending; a quick check for this answer revealed plenty of seats available for all shows. Of course, the Monday showing at 11:30 a.m. will almost certainly be less crowded than the Sunday show at 7 p.m.
Seating is limited to the center of the arena, so there's not a bad seat in the house. However, Sphere's footprint is such that, in order to fit 18,000 seats in the arena, access is uncomfortably steep. Epically long escalators take you most of the way there, but to get to your seats, you have to climb the precipitous stairs.
You can walk in from various places on the Strip, but the main entrance is a ways along Sands Avenue from the Strip, then farther down Manhattan Avenue. From Treasure Island's front door, for example, it's 1.3 miles one way to Sphere. The closest you'll get is from Harrah's/Linq at .8 of a mile, but that's the back way on Winnick to Koval to Westchester, still a fur piece, as they said in the Old West.
You can park on Manhattan Street and Westchester Drive for free, but you takes yer chances in finding a space. Small parking lots are onsite, but the best parking is in one of four garages across Manhattan Street at the Howard Hughes Center, about a 10-minute walk to the arena. And you can reserve and pay for those spaces in advance.
Here's the link to our main review. At the bottom of that page are the links to the seating and parking reviews.
Note that those reviews are from well over a year ago. The details might have changed since, especially for parking. But the gists are still accurate.
