Question of the Day - 06 March 2025

Q:

So I'm ready for my annual pilgrimage to Phoenix for MLB spring training games. Last year, I remember lying in my bed at Harrah's Ak-Chin, attempting to make that day’s sports bets on the Caesars sports app. I hit the Bet button and was advised mobile betting isn't allowed on Native American land. Can you explain what possible reason there would be for not allowing someone to place a sports bet in a casino using that same casino's app?

A:

In Arizona, you can’t bet online on baseball via Caesars Sportsbook, since Caesars has betting exclusivity with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Thus, you can only place Caesars bets off-rez.

However — and this is the good news — the Ak-Chin now have an agreement in place with Bet365. This means that, should you choose to place your sports bets online, either on the Ak-Chin reservation or at large, you can do so through Bet365.

Play ball!

At Casino Arizona (2 locations in Scottsdale) you cannot place any bets on line. You can't connect with Draftkings Etc. within a 1/2 mile or so of the property. They obviously don't want the competition for their in-house books.
