Once F1 leaves town, would you do a refresher on Strip parking? Doubt parking will ever be free again, but a rundown on where locals who aren’t high rollers can park for the least painful amount.
Happy to.
But before we do, we'd like to point you to our parking pages, which we keep up to the minute (not that they change much, but when they do, we're all over it). With our website refresh a few months ago, we separated one parking page into three: Strip, downtown, and off-Strip. That way, you can quickly pinpoint what and where you're looking for and the listings are far less daunting than when they were all part of one long scroll.
Now, to answer the question, you can still park at no charge at the following (from north to south): Circus Circus (valet charge only), Sahara, Treasure Island, Casino Royale, and Tropicana (charges sometimes and in some areas).
Note that to us, this doesn't mean you park and walk away. If you're availing yourself of "free" parking, we believe it behooves you to walk into the casino and provide some action or grab a bite at one of the outlets. Otherwise, we believe, it's taking advantage of a situation that we don't want to see go away due to abuse.
It's the same at Resorts World, where parking is free for all Genting Rewards members. Just scan your players card and the gate opens like magic. At the Wynn, everyone, locals and out-of-towners alike, get three hours free. And at the just-opened Fontainebleau, it's four hours. Obviously, Resorts World, Wynn, and Fontainebleau are competing for drive-in traffic.
Since you're asking about locals, at the Strat, parking is always free for locals (and guests).
Nevada residents qualify for up to three hours free at all MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment properties, plus the Mirage and Venetian/Palazzo. Non-locals get one hour at MGM's and no grace -- zero, zilch, zippo -- at Caesars'. Big of them.
You can also park for free at the Fashion Show Mall.
