Question of the Day - 04 February 2022

Q:

My wife and I have been going to Las Vegas 4 to 5 times every year since 2000, except for 2020 (three times). The best buffet was the M Resort Buffet. Is it ever going to reopen?

A:

We agree that M Resort's Studio B Buffet was among the best buffets in Las Vegas and was, perhaps, the best-value AYCE spread in town before the pandemic. We've heard nary a word about it reopening, but that doesn't mean it won't. Of course, it doesn't mean it will either.

But we do note that it's not among the listings for dining options on M Resort's website. Up until a few months ago, it still had its own page that said it was "temporarily closed." That page is gone, which doesn't bode well for it reopening anytime soon.

We hope it does, but we're not betting on it.

Always my favorite hotel and buffet since it opened.

    M Resort
M Resort is great. There are a lot of great places, it's a shame so many never get off the strip.

    Even if it does reopen....
I'm betting the selection would be a much lesser quality than before. Look for fish sticks instead of crab legs as an entree. The days of any restaurant being a loss leader are over.

    Buffets are great
a big reason to go to LV is the buffets. Making a big mistake not having them .

    M Resort
Thought you would have actually called M management and got their answer. I had noticed the recent removal of the buffet from the website as well as a bad sign. We will not be back to the M again until the buffet reopens. If never, so be it!

    Surprising
It's surprising this wasn't one of the earlier buffets to reopen considering they attract locals and visitors alike. Don't find too many haters of M Resort.

    M Resort buffet not reopening
I contacted a host at M Resort today (Feb 5, 2022) and was told very clearly that the buffet was not going to reopen. Of course, in Las Vegas you can never say anything is absolute, but I wouldn't hold out any hope on this. So unless management decides a buffet would make financial sense don't expect it to return. The days of a casino losing money at an attraction in an attempt to attract customers are rapidly going away.
