Q:
What caused the demise of Vegas Seven? I really enjoyed.
A:
Las Vegas Seven was an alt weekly that published a print edition from 2010 through September 2017. The print edition was cancelled, but the web presence continued, though sporadically. We see a new post or two every week or so when we check, mostly about arts and entertainment, but also some news, dining, and nightlife.
Anthony Curtis was a weekly columnist almost the entire time the print edition was in existence. When we put this question to him, he replied, "We didn't get much of an explanation. I presume the reasons were economic. Seems like there isn't enough room for multiple alt mags and apparently the online-only move didn't fully resonate.
"The main thing I heard was that the owners' attention went in a different direction, specifically bars and music shows."
