Question of the Day - 13 February 2022

Q:

The recent episode of Undercover Boss spotlighted the Fremont Street Experience canopy. With the new lights bright enough to show so well all day long, does downtown still play an hourly show after dark, shutting down the casino lights for those minutes?

A:

Yes, Viva Vision, the name of the world's largest digital display (1,375 feet long, 90 feet wide, and 90 feet high), still broadcasts nightly shows, every hour on the hour from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.

These days, the six- to eight-minute shows feature a graphical interpretation of top songs from musical artists, such as the Killers, Imagine Dragons, Shakira, and the Chainsmokers.

Also, as has always been the case since Viva Vision debuted in 1995, all the lights, plus whatever sounds are being broadcast along the Fremont Street Experience, are shut down at the top of the hour to focus attention on the light-and-music shows overhead.

You can always check VegasExperience.com to see the schedule of the nine Viva Vision shows nightly.
