Are there restrictions for the Wicked Spoon Buffet coupon?
Other than the usual blackout dates on public holidays, there are no restrictions on the coupon for the Wicked Spoon buffet at Cosmopolitan.
But here are a few other things to be said about this question.
First, you can access a complete list of the more than 130 coupons in the Las Vegas Advisor’s Member Rewards Book from the home page on this website. Hover your mouse over Member Benefits in the upper left corner and click on Member Rewards. Under every coupon on the list, you’ll see “Terms and Conditions.” Click on that to read the back of the coupon, which lists any restrictions.
If you’re on a device, you can go direct to that page via the link above.
Second, the Wicked Spoon is considered by many to be the best in Las Vegas. It has more than 11,000 reviews on Yelp and Trip Advisor and averages four out of five stars. Obviously, it’s a standout. (The only other Vegas buffet with four out of five stars on Yelp is, perhaps not surprisingly, the M Resort's; even the Wynn and Bellagio buffets are three-and-a-half stars, and Aria's is three.)
In addition, buffets this fancy and expensive ($28-$49) are rarely interested in issuing discount coupons, but the Wicked Spoon is happy to have a 2-for-1 in LVA's Member Rewards Book.
If you use the coupon for dinner there Friday through Sunday, you'll save the entire cost of your Platinum membership ($50) and make money on your Diamond ($37). Note that you have to redeem at the players club desk first.
Another way the Wicked Spoon separates itself from the pack is how it separates itself from the casino: It's in an out-of-the-way corner on the way to the convention space.
Yet another is with individual portions in little bowls and pots, so you don't have to scoop anything yourself, overload your plate, or overeat any one item -- for example, little cups of crab and avocado, salmon sushi and carpaccio, just-enough asparagus risotto, clams, truffle potatoes, and much more. The food presentation is much more effective and attractive this way.
Then again, the prime rib cuts have always been huge and the cracked king crab legs are big and abundant. One unusual carving-station item is the roasted bone marrow (reportedly super good for you). Other noteworthy offerings include pho in oxtail broth, frogs legs, squid-ink pasta, kale salad, Thai iced tea -- you get the idea.
Definitely save room for dessert; the choices are too many to list and too good for spoiler alerts.
