Though this is the most expensive buffet in the Stations chain (along with Red Rock) and we gave it a rave review when we first ate here in 2002 (click on LVA Review to the upper right), the buffet has gone down a few notches since, especially compared to the less expensive Feasts. We really hate to say it, because we like the Station product and people, but it's seemed to us that we've paid for GVR branding as a resort destination more than for anything particularly noteworthy about the food here. The Mongolian grill is slightly different, as are the milkshake bar and hand-scooped ice cream, but beyond those ...
We're probably in the minority, because the GVR Feast is always packed, both with locals and visitors, so come early. And bring your LVA 2-for-1 or 50%-off coupon.

We finally made it to Green Valley Ranch’s Feast Buffet for dinner and came away impressed. With the typical Feast multiple-serving-station set-up and a Mongolian grill thrown in, it’s probably the best of the Station Casinos’ buffets. Highlights are peel-and-eat shrimp, cold medium-sized crab legs, and a strong Chinese section. While this isn’t a must-do travel-to, we’d rate it a don’t-miss if you’re anywhere in the area.
