LVA Review

This restaurant was reviewed in the April 2005 LVA; some of the information contained in this review may no longer be accurate. This is Las Vegas’ place for dim sum. We found out about Chang’s (note, this is not PF Chang’s) from a teppan chef at Benihana. At almost any time during lunch hours, the packed parking lot and dining room (mostly Asians) attest to its popularity. On any given day, the selection doesn’t match what you’d find in the San Francisco or Vancouver Chinatown shops, but the standards—shrimp har gow, pork siu mai, steamed buns, chicken’s feet, spring rolls, etc.—served from wheeled carts are all present. It’s super cheap, with most selections under $3 and some under $2; a recent tab for three was $25.55. Chang’s doesn’t have a liquor license, but you can bring in your own beer and wine, usually at no charge (it’s a bit arbitrary; a large party might be charged a small corkage fee). Chang’s is located on Decatur, just north of Tropicana, about three miles west of the Strip.

    Sunday Dim Sum
It was very good and the price can't be beat. I went here solo on a Sunday and they are very nice and attentive to solo diners. Food was very fresh and tasted great!
