    Attention seniors.
On Mondays, those of us who have achieved senior status can dine at any of the South Point restaurants for 1/2 points, an excellent bargain given the reasonable menu pricing at this popular cafe. We had a large lunch so we decided to dine late and lite. My wife chose a chicken Caesar wrap ($10.95) which came with a side of potato salad. The wrap tasted like a pretty good Caesar salad w/chicken. I went with a Monday only special, Island salad ($8.95) - diced grilled chicken breast with mixed greens, red and yellow peppers, scallions, mango, pineapple, and macadamia nuts that were tossed with a citrus vinaigrette and topped with croutons. The ingredients proved to be exceptionally fresh and the dressing achieved the appropriate balance between lightness and flavor.

    French onion soup
Once again, a lunch that proved to be too large resulted in us grabbing a bite to eat at this restaurant later the same evening. This time my wife and I chose the French onion soup which again was very good and salt lite. I also ordered a side salad that was primarily Romaine lettuce with a bottled dressing.

    Senior Mondays
Mondays have been designated as senior days at the South Point when those of the appropriate age possessing an adequate number of slot points may dine at any of the company-owned restaurants and pay with 1/2 points. I am a senior with sufficient points so I treated my better half to breakfast at this cafe. We each ordered easy over eggs with hash browns and bacon plus wheat toast. The eggs was cooked to perfection, the bacon was a tad too thin, and the hash browns were crispy as I prefer while the toast was toast. Service was good and came with a smile.
