    Sunday brunch
It had been a few years since we last dined at Fat Choy so we joined another couple for the all day Sunday brunch. We were warmly greeted by Jenny Chou, the owner, who seated us at a table for 4. Jenny's husband, Sheridan, recently won a Las Vegas wide competition for best wings and also has been nominated for the James Beard award for Best Chef - West. My wife and I decided to share orders of the chicken wings and a short rib grilled cheese sandwich. The latter turned out to better than I remembered and the wings proved worthy of the award. Being the thrifty sort, I used my MRB 2 for 1 coupon.

    Sunday Brunch - an anniversary
There is only one problem with Fat Choy's Sunday only brunch and that is, it is only served on Sunday, Yes, a real bummer for those of you who only visit Las Vegas mid-week. On the first morning of our recently concluded vacation we celebrated friends' first anniversary at this restaurant located in the smoke filled Eureka Casino. 3 out of 4 ordered the Fat Benedicts while the 4th, my wife, went traditional by ordering the traditional Benedict. Think a pair of poached eggs, crispy pork belly, English muffin and perfectly executed Hollandaise sauce accompanied by roasted potatoes. My sole quibble was I forgot to request runny eggs when ordering so they were done a bit more than I prefer. Think delicious and think bargain since we were allowed to use a pair of 2 for 1 MRB coupons. I see a return visit in the not too distant horizon.
