This restaurant was reviewed in the May 2005 LVA; some of the information contained in this review may no longer be accurate. Over several years, several name changes, and a switch in ownership, the steakhouse at Fiesta Henderson has remained one of the city’s best value-gourmet options. In its current incarnation as Fuego, you can still look forward to big dinners (entrees come with soup/salad, choice of potato, and vegetable) at under-market prices. Chicken, fish, and veal dishes are $16-$20; steaks are $22-$27; market-priced items, such as king crab legs, run in the mid-$30s; and fancy appetizers (escargots, oysters Rockefeller) are just $8-$10. Tops in our tasting was the ribeye for $27 and the $8 escargots. A couple can do it up big here for well under a hundred-dollar bill. But the big saving at Fuego will accrue to oenophiles (see next).
