Founded in Las Vegas, this popular casual southern-style eatery now has two locations on Spring Mtn. Road, plus another in Henderson, while the brand (as featured on The Cooking Channel and "Man vs. Food"), has now also spread to Arizona, California, Florida, Washington DC, and Virginia. The limited menu features steamed-in-the-bag crawfish, lobster, crab, clams, oysters, soft-shell crab, and shrimp, cooked with a choice of the house blend, Louisiana Style, Juicy Cajun, Garlic Butter, or Lemon Pepper seasoning and prepared to the customer's preferred heat (as in spice) level.

This restaurant was reviewed in the August 2007 LVA; some of the information contained in the review may no longer be accurate. Just when you thought there were no more new ideas, here comes Hot n Juicy Crawfish. The name of this place pretty much says it all: Crawfish is the main event. We flipped for ‘em, but we’re not exactly crawfish experts. So for confirmation, we took a native Louisianan, who told us it was the “best crawfish boil she’s ever had,” restaurant or otherwise. The crawfish are delivered to your table—which is devoid of plates or cutlery, but covered in plastic with rolls of paper towels handy—in giant plastic bags. Dozens of the little critters are in the bags (depending on how many pounds you order), along with ears of corn, red potatoes, and even spicy sausage links if you order them. Bust the bags and go to work (and work it is; see below). You can get them plain or seasoned in varying degrees of spicy. Add a couple beers and you’ve got a heck of a feast. If you don’t like crawfish, Dungeness or blue crab cooked in garlic butter are available, along with good etouffée, oysters, shrimp, catfish, and chicken wings and fingers. Prices are low. We got four pounds of crawfish and two pounds of blue crab (plus all kinds of appetizers) for $102. Then, on a less-gluttonous visit (three pounds of crawfish and one Dungeness), the tab was just $66. You need to understand a couple of particulars before you go. Eating these little crustaceans is a lot of work and really messy. You have to snap off the tails and pinch out the meat, so your hands get covered in juice and sauce. Worse, the meat in each one is usually sparse, so you have to eat a lot of them, and after a while all the snapping and pinching begin to wear on your fingers. Also, they’re served by the pound ($8.99 to $9.99 per, depending on season), and at first it’s hard to figure out how many pounds to order. From our experience, about a pound per person works, maybe with a crab or an appetizer added. You can always order more. Hot n Juicy Crawfish is located near the northwest corner of Spring Mountain and Decatur, a quick two miles from the Strip.
