LVA Review

This restaurant was reviewed in the May 2012 LVA; some of the information contained in the review may no longer be accurate. Have you ever thought about pulling up to the bar at the fancy Joe’s Seafood Steak & Stone Crab in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace and ordering some of its vaunted king crab legs? If you have, you’ve probably wondered most about how much it will cost. That’s what we’re here for—to do the things you wonder about and report back so you don’t have to wonder anymore. We stepped up and ordered the standard 1-1/4-pound serving of king crab. Price? Seventy-nine ninety-five. No kidding! This one’s definitely not a bargain, plus, we weren’t blown away by the quality—the legs were good, but we’ve had better in town (possibly a product of the season as much as anything). Served split (so there’s no hassle with shells), they come with lemon and butter only, so you might want to get something on the side. We went with roasted corn ($6.95), which was more impressive than the crab. All in all, we didn’t hate the experience, but we also won’t be doing it again soon.
