Rí Rá Irish Pub boasts a fine selection of whiskey & beer, hearty pub fare & live music nightly.
This restaurant was reviewed in the May 2011 LVA; some of the information contained in the review may no longer be accurate. The new Irish Pub at Mandalay Place has an extensive food selection, including appetizers like Irish potato cakes, curried crab claws, and whiskey garlic mussels for $8.95-$13.95 (the mussels are good). They brag on their fish & chips, so we gave it a go and it’s a good one, with one giant piece of cod for $13.95 (or two pieces for $18.95). We weren’t as impressed with the soupy shepherd’s pie for $14.95. Overall, the food is good and the prices are decent, but it looks like the best play is late-night (10 pm-3 am), when several menu items go for under $10, including $9 fish & chips. There’s a good vibe in this place, along with lots of draft beer choices and Foyne’s Irish coffee (see Entertainment for drink prices).
