LVA Review

This restaurant was reviewed in the February 2014 LVA; some of the information contained in this review may no longer be accurate. Do you like beef? Then this place is for you. Rincon de Buenos Aires serves steaks—lomito (filet), bifé de chorizo (New York), bifé ancho (ribeye), entraña (skirt steak)—prepared Argentinean-style and for under $20. They come with a single side and there’s nothing fancy about it, but these are darn tasty steaks. More popular are the Argentinean BBQ plates, mixed grills of steaks, sausage, chicken, and sweetbreads brought to your table on metal grills for $33-$35. They’re all for two, so you’re looking at about $17 per person. There’s also pizza, pastas, and seafood selections, almost all of these under $15. For an appetizer, try marinated beef tongue or a hearts of palm salad, or grab any of about 20 sandwiches, from hot steak ranchero or pastrami with onions, to cold prosciutto & cheese or roast beef. There’s also a deli with meats, cheeses, olives, and good empanadas that go for $2.25 apiece. The restaurant is quaint, with several individual tables and one long table in the middle to accommodate big groups. English is spoken and the environment is friendly. Get some Argentinian beer or wine (see Entertainment) and order up. Rincon de Buenos Aires is located about four miles west of the Strip (right-hand side). Hours are 9 am to 8 pm Sun. and Mon., till 9 Tues.-Thurs., and till 10 Friday and Saturday. This is a good one.
