This restaurant was reviewed in the August 2010LVA; some of the information contained in the review may no longer be accurate. A few years ago, Fellini’s was considered one of Las Vegas’ premier dining spots for the city’s elite. It had an electric vibe, as well as a chef, known to all simply as Chaz, who made outstanding Italian food. When Fellini’s closed (reportedly because of a problem with its lease), the owners made a deal to open a new restaurant called Salvatore’s at the Suncoast. The dining room may not have that same Fellini’s feel, but the chef is the same and so’s the food. Want something you don’t see on the menu? Just ask. When we inquired about a pasta-and-scallops dish that was available at Fellini’s, Chaz came out and said, “I think I can remember how to make that” (and did he ever). Pricing is excellent, with pastas starting at $13, chicken, fish, and veal in the $20s, and a couple of steaks in the low $30s. Plus, Suncoast has been running a deal on designated days where everything is half-off if you pay with club points (Fridays and Saturdays in July). At half-price, this is one of the best dinner plays in town. Salvatore’s is open from 4:30 to 10 pm every day but Monday. Another good night to go is Wednesday, when you can parlay dinner and a night in the lounge with the band Yellow Brick Road.
