Named after the famous town on the "sun coast" of the French Riviera, this buffet has the typical spread of American, Italian, Mexican, seafood, BBQ, Chinese, and salad and dessert bars (hand-scooped ice cream with lots of toppings at the latter). It also has a Mongolian grill, which is almost de rigueur for the lower-priced buffets, but welcome as a cooked-to-order stir fry. You take your chances with the lobster-tail add on.
The buffet is broken up in smaller separated areas, so it's a little quieter than one big room.

Last month’s big survey of low-priced breakfast buffets included 18 choices. The Suncoast wasn’t among them and we got a phone call from the casino’s marketing director asking why. The reason is that the criteria included having a base price below $10 and Suncoast’s is $12.95. But, while the biggest players card discount for any of the buffets in the survey was $3, Suncoast offers a monster $5 discount that drops the price to $7.95 and puts it in bargain territory. “Is it good,” we asked? “Real good.” OK. We tried it. And is it ever! Considering all of the great buffets we tested, the main disappointment was that none had lox. Suncoast does, along with bagels, cream cheese, onions, and capers. And not just plain bagels, but three choices, including “everything”-style, with a toaster if you like. There’s also an omelet station; eggs Benedict; hard-boiled eggs; herring; sticky buns and cinnamon rolls; carved ham; a complete salad bar with mixed greens, romaine, and spinach; pizza; pasta; Mexican specialties, and fresh melon. A big dessert selection includes donuts, strawberry tarts, pies, bread pudding, and ice cream cones. All of this for $7.95 with the card, and as little as $4 (depending on how the cashier rings it up) with the Member Rewards twofer. With the exception of South Point (for those who value the unlimited Bloody Marys), it’s the best bargain-buffet play in town.
