Price: $25 or less

Wallet-friendly Thai restaurant that's grown to boast several locations valley-wide, with the Chinatown venue being a regular take-out lunch spot for LVA staffers. Generous portions of authentic Thai cuisine (the soups and noodle dishes are especially recommended) served in a bustling cafe-like environment. Delivery service is available for $15-minimum food orders within a 3-mile radius (but note that the Chinatown restaurant, at least, gets very busy and wait time on delivery can be 45 minutes plus, so don't wait until you're super hungry).

LVA Review

This restaurant was reviewed in the February 2011 LVA; some of the information contained in the review may no longer be accurate. Here’s another good Thai restaurant in Las Vegas that we like especially as a take-out play. In fact, it’s probably the number-one take-out option for us at LVA. It’s close to our office, so that plays a part. But for some reason, this place is geared up to handle to-go orders. Soups are packaged properly, so they don’t spill; the noodles and extras are in separate containers, so they don’t get soggy. The best way to play it is to pick up a menu in advance or check out thainoodle.webs.com. Then call 20 minutes ahead. It’s located about two miles west of the Strip off Spring Mtn. Rd.; make a left on Wynn, which is the street just before Chinatown. They also deliver. Hours are 10:30 am to 10:30 pm daily (and locals on the far west side of town can take advantage of a second location at 5135 Fort Apache). You can also eat at the bustling little restaurant, which is typically filled with Asians who come for the good food. The menu is huge, packed with noodle and rice dishes, curries, soups, and appetizers, and nothing is more than $8.95. Our favorites are sliced-beef noodle soup ($6.50), wonton soup ($6.50), Panang curry ($6.75), papaya salad ($5.95), and silver noodle soup ($6.95-$8.95), which is the closest we’ve found to the great vegetable soup from Thai Spice (no longer available since it closed last month).
