This restaurant was reviewed in the February 2012 LVA; some of the information contained in the review may no longer be accurate. This new restaurant at the refurbished Royal House on Convention Center Dr. (see pg. 9) has gotten quite a bit of buzz from reviewers, but we were less impressed. Almost everything we sampled for lunch—French onion soup ($8.50), lobster mac & cheese ($13), fish tacos ($10.50)—was adequate, but nothing to rave about. We liked the roasted artichoke ($9.50) and the best play for lunch might be the “classic burger.” It’s expensive, starting at $11.50, with cheese $1 extra and bacon $1.50, but it’s a good burger served with a mound of fries. There’s also a fancier “steakhouse burger” for $13.50, but we preferred the classic. We didn’t try breakfast or dinner, both of which have more interesting looking selections than lunch, including unlimited champagne ($18) or Bloody Marys ($24) at breakfast. Dinner is served in a separate room with several more appetizer choices and steaks starting in the low $30s.
