Tides Seafood & Sushi Bar

My wife and I usually share a pound of Cajun peel and eat shrimp as an appetizer, but we most recently dined there for lunch ordering both the shrimp and a soft shell crab. The latter was very large, but suffered from way too much batter so there was little taste other than that provided by the dipping sauce.  The shrimp were no doubt raised in a 3rd world country, but the accompanying sauce is so darn good that you try not to think about it too much. 

It has been over 3.5 years since our last dining experience at this oyster bar and it will likely be even longer before we return.  My wife ordered the combination pan roast that the menu promised would include shrimp, lobster cream and brandy.  I defy you to find any crab, more importantly it did not taste very good at least in comparison to the oyster bar in Palace Station.  I ordered the cioppino which came with an unwanted side of pasta and was pretty blah tasting perhaps due to the use of canned fish stock and/or the absence of fennel or was it do to the inexpensive tomatoes or ???.  In any case, it was beyond mediocre.
