LVA Review

This restaurant was reviewed in the September 2010 LVA; some of the information contained in the review may no longer be accurate. Twin Creeks serves half-price tapas and specialty drinks Tues.-Sat. from 6 to 8 pm. It’s martinis and appetizers for $3-$5 each, or about $20 per person with no skimping. There are only about 10 selections, but the manager says they scouted all of the good tapas places in town and emulated the best for their menu. Our faves were stuffed mushrooms, calamari, and bacon-wrapped shrimp. A big plus is the room itself. It’s quiet and classy. It’s also an excellent place for dinner. Many of the steaks are priced under $30 and they come with a salad and choice of two sides. That’s a big value-added these days. Max Jacobson recently wrote in Seven magazine that the rib-eye for $27 may be “the best deal in Las Vegas.”

    Happy hour
We stopped in for the happy hour that runs Wednesdays through Sundays from 4:30PM to 7PM. Select cocktails, appetizers, non craft beer, and house wines are all discounted by 50%. We were disappointed by the cocktails currently offered so my wife ordered glasses of Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay that pleased her. I tried the strawberry blossom cocktail, but migrated to a glass of Storypoint cabernet sauvignon for the second round. Though we did not try the food, the appetizers arriving at the customers parked next to us look appealing. 2.5 Sips out of a possible 5.
