The Four Seasons Veranda Cafe serves a pretty fancy weekend brunch for $42 in the indoor-outdoor area right off the separate pool area. We found it overpriced and underwhelming the one time we ate there (see the LVA review) and honestly, we haven't paid it any attention since, though it's gotten some good reviews online.

They have more breakfast than lunch food, which makes sense since it opens at 8 a.m. and shuts down at 1 p.m. There's also a chilled seafood bar, cold-pressed vegetable juice, fresh fruit juice of the day, gluten-free breads, and they make fresh donuts in house.

The best thing about the Veranda buffet might be that it's hidden away in a hidden hotel with a super-fancy reputation, so the waits are short, if at all, the ambiance is quiet and relaxed, and the outdoor seating is a pleasure.

LVA Review

This buffet was reviewed in the May 2009 LVA; some of the information contained in this review may no longer be accurate.

Another month, another high-end brunch. For $35 ($42 with one Bloody Mary or mimosa), we have to rule “no way” on this one. Aside from lox, there’s no seafood. There’s also no carving station. The best of it is the location right off the pool with indoor/outdoor seating (oh, and Aki, the famous showgirl from the Stardust’s Enter the Night in the ’90s, was eating). Spend your money at the similarly priced Simon Brunch at Palms Place or at the Springs Preserve.
