LVA Review

This restaurant was reviewed in the January 2010LVA; some of the information contained in the review may no longer be accurate. While the official name of the restaurant inside White Cross Drugs is Tiffany’s Café (originally Liberty Café), most simply refer to it as White Cross. Not just a diner, this is the diner in Las Vegas, serving burgers, sandwiches, and all-day breakfasts since 1964. Make that lots and lots of breakfasts! What do you want with your two jumbo eggs, home fries (or grits), and toast? Bacon? Sausage? Ham? Hash? A chop, New York steak, T-Bone, ground round, liver, chicken-fried steak, or trout? They’re all on the menu ($7.50-$14.95), along with a dozen omelets. This joint—the setting for scenes in the movie Lucky You—is also known for its big burgers that start at $4.65 and blue-plate-style dinners served with mashed potatoes and vegetables. There’re also sandwiches, salads, homemade soups and chili, bar foods, desserts, and daily specials. Eat at one of 15 counter seats or in one of the little booths and check out the old photos and restaurant reviews on the wall—plenty of history here. White Cross Drugs is located at Oakey and the Strip, a bit north of Stratosphere on the same side of the street and just south of the OG gentlemen’s club.
