    MRB coupon
After enjoying a glass of wine in the karaoke lounge, my wife and I decided to have dinner in the adjoining cafe. My wife ordered the Reuben sandwich while I enjoyed a bountiful order of fish (cod) and chips. Service was very good. Menu prices are more than reasonable and a steal using the MRB 2 for 1 entree coupon.

Dinner for 2 for under $13
We decided to dine here after enjoying a few adult beverages in the karaoke lounge. My wife chose the fish & chips which were once again delicious and a certified bargain at only $9.99. I was a little, very little, more adventuresome and tried the apple pecan salad with citrus vinaigrette, adding a grilled skinless chicken breast that was moist and delicious. Our total was only $12.98 plus tax and gratuity thanks to our MRB 2 for 1 coupon. Service was prompt. For those frustrated with the wait in the cafe, a server is assigned to the karaoke lounge during dinner hours.

    Worst experience
Our dinner at the cafe this trip proved to be a disappointment. My wife ordered grilled chicken sauteed with portobello mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, and spinach over rice. I chose grilled chicken breast with garlic green beans and steak fries. Entrees include a choice of soup or salad, with my wife choosing chicken noodle soup that was decent, but my side salad was pretty mundane. The more important issue was the chicken in each dish was overcooked to such an extent that I experienced difficulty even slicing it, the best I could manage shredding it. To add insult to injury, the garlic green beans were limp with virtually no garlic flavor. We have eaten at Ellis countless times over the years and this was by far was our worst experience. Even at 1/2 price using the MRB 2/1 coupon, we won't be rushing back for dinner any time soon.
