Little Miss Nasty

Rio Hotel & Casino
Price: $53.16/$65.06/$133.51 VIP Rockstar*
Type: Music Concert

Little Miss Nasty is a touring show out of L.A. that purports to be the “sexiest, edgiest, bad-ass” rock ’n’ roll dance show that Las Vegas has ever seen. The hype preceding Little Miss Nasty is definitely a cut above: “a decadent troupe of feisty little sex kittens”; “wildly charged-up journey through sex, burlesque, and rock”;“causing a ruckus in leather and stilettos”; and “planting its devilish seed into Sin City.”

The music is certainly eclectic: from Led Zeppelin to Marilyn Manson, Iggy Pop to the Runaways, Rob Zombie to Rage Against the Machine. And a peek at the videos reveals that the costuming, what little there is, and choreography certainly showcase the talent. It all looks like a bawdy steamy night out to us. Stay tuned for a full review.

[Editor’s Note: This review is adapted from Arnold Snyder’s much racier version posted at ToplessVegasOnline.com.]

If you like extra loud, thrashing, hard, punk/metal rock and you’re partial to sexy dancers acting nasty, you’ll like this show. Of course, “nasty” is in the eye of the beholder, but in Little Miss it’s defined as a cast of four professional dancers performing a well-choreographed program based more on stripper moves than classical or modern dance. That said, you might be surprised that it’s not a topless show. Rather, it’s a lingerie show with a few instances where a dancer is topless with pasties. Each performs with charisma, personality, and more than a dash of humor. This in-your-face burlesque show dishes the type of edge-pushing entertainment that Las Vegas is expected to serve up.

There’s no story or theme (other than nasty). There’s no comic or magician. The whole show is done by the corps of four, but there’s a big assist from the music. The soundtrack includes tunes from Depeche Mode, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper, Korn, Rage Against the Machine, and Nine Inch Nails. Hooters’ Night Owl Theater is the perfect intimate venue for a show like this, allowing the girls to come out into the audience a lot, doing their bits on table-tops and in the laps of audience members. It’s an exhilarating ride and you don’t even have to tip the dancers.

The show lasts about an hour and twenty minutes, including a strange 10-minute intermission. Providing a pleasant change from the time (and paid parking) commitment you have to make to see a show in one of the big casinos, it’s a quick in-and-out from this showroom. Best of all, you can get a 2-for-1 coupon from LasVegasAdvisor.com that makes it about $30 per person to attend. Go to the “Member Rewards” dropdown and click on “Printable Rewards” to download the coupon. Parlay with some $1 blackjack before or after the show.
