Aquarium

The 117,000-gallon artificial reef at the Silverton is home to over 4,000 tropical fish, plus three species each of sting rays and sharks. Feeding shows are daily at 1:30 and 4:30 p.m., in which the staff marine biologist interacts with viewers via a full-face communication mask. Mermaids swim during three sessions a day Thursday-Sunday (click on the website link above for the current times). In the adjacent Mermaid Lounge are two 500-gallon jellyfish tanks lit with LEDs.

Fresh-water aquariums also grace Bass Pro Shops next door: an 18,000-gallon water feature simulating Red Rock Canyon formations filled with koi, plus another tank with channel catfish, carp, and bass, and canyon display that's home to seven species of ducks, channel catfish, bluegill, turtles, and a sturgeon.
