In 1963, the stable was added (for horseback riding) and the restaurant a year later; it still operates, making it one of the oldest in the valley.
In 1972, the ranch was expanded into Old Nevada, a collection of Wild West-themed buildings and tourist attractions, ranging from fake gunfights and a waxworks museum to a 50-room motel and a petting zoo, which now includes peacocks, kangaroos, miniature burros, chicks, turtles, porcupines, pot-bellied pigs, wolves, and a Canadian lynx.
A mini-choo-choo shuttles visitors from the parking lot to the entrance on weekends. Kids love it and it's the only train ride in the area, short and small as it is.
