Grand Canal Shoppes

This one-of-a-kind Venetian-inspired mall and dining destination offers 160 stores encompassed by its 875,000 square feet, plus six art galleries and upwards of 20 full-service restaurants (inlcuding from Puck, Emeril, Mario Batali, and Daniel Boulud). The cobblestone walkways under illuminated ceilings meander from the Venetian to the Palazzo, hosting more than 20 million visitors annually.  

The main attraction is the canal that runs through it (the only window-shopping by gondola anywhere we know of in this country), with gondoliers powering the vessels up and down the quarter-mile-long waterway and regularly breaking into song. The ride travels to and from the replica St. Marks Square, with its "outdoor" seating and strolling entertainers. 

Luxury retailers include Christian Louboutin, Armani Collezioni, Tory Burch, Jimmy Choo, Burberry, Fendi, Diane von Furstenberg, and Salvatore Ferragamo; brands are represented by kate spade, Michael Kors, Sephora, Swarovski, Tommy Bahama, bebe, and Coach.
