The Origen Museum features 75 permanent exhibits, plus traveling-exhibit space and a documentary theater; permanent exhibits include historical recreations, live-animal habitats, a simulated desert flash flood, the railroad, and Hoover Dam.
Other attractions here are a 110-acre botanical garden with the world's largest collection of Mojave cactus and succulents; a butterfly habitat; Desert Sol, a 750-square-foot fully solar-powered house; 3.6 miles of trails; the Nevada State (historical) Museum, and the new-in-2017 Boomtown 1905, a streetscape that recreates Las Vegas' earliest years, with the train depot, mercantile, bank, and railroad cottages.
