The Tank

The centerpiece of this year-round pool is a 200,000-gallon shark aquarium (the "tank"), with a completely enclosed water slide that runs right through the middle of it -- earning it the nickname Downtown's Most Extreme Pool (pretty extreme for the Strip as well. Seven cabanas are available, and you can indulge in poolside blackjack and 3 Card Poker year-round from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m.

The Golden Nugget's Hideout Pool Club offers an escape from the hoi polloi (and sharks) in a setting that overlooks downtown with a capacity of only 250. Renting one of the eight cabanas starts at $3,000; the super cabana on the Tank Luxury Terrace can accommodate up to 75 people.
