How They Work
Play video poker or slots until you lose up to a specified amount and your loss will be reimbursed, usually in machine free-play. For example, on a $100-rebate deal, you can play and lose anywhere between $5 (or whatever minimum is specified) and $100 and that amount will be reimbursed. The reimbursement is usually made on a subsequent visit or visits. If you win, there is no reimbursement and you keep your winnings, which is where the power is in this type of promotion.

This might not sound exciting, but even if playing at a 5% disadvantage, and you can do better, your expected loss is only $15 to get the $25 bonus. It will take you about a half-hour to play $300 at quarters, so counting free drinks, it’s not a shabby return. |
