Thanks for the article. It mentions the University of Gambling Policy and Health. I googled it and nothing came up. Is the university name misstated?
There was a misunderstanding about the $25,000 donation when I wrote the article. To clarify, in 2022 the $25,000 from the Blackjack Ball was donated by the Blackjack Ball Hall of Fame, Inc. to the University of Nevada Las Vegas to help establish the UNLV Center for Gambling Policy and Health. The latter will be an academic center of excellence dedicated to the study of problem and responsible gaming. I will update my article regarding this point.
