What Does Winning A Million Dollars Prove?

I just passed the 10-year anniversary of my six-month-long million dollar net profit run. I wrote a book about it (Million Dollar Video Poker), and it’s still prominently mentioned on my website. Whenever I’m interviewed by somebody, I’m called the guy who won a million bucks. While that particular six months is clearly part of my public identity, someone recently asked me how much that success proved I’m an expert worth listening to. Gambling Versus Time of Day

On a recent cruise, we left Miami on a Saturday (Eastern Time zone) and our first port of call was Costa Maya, Mexico (Central Time zone) on Monday. Sure enough, to make sure that “ship time” matched the time on land, in our “Freestyle Daily” newsletter for Sunday it told us to move our clocks and watches back one hour before we went to bed Sunday night. MGM Resorts International Rolls out M life Players Club in Las Vegas

I played at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas between 1999 and 2001, when I was severely restricted due to my success at video poker. (It was Shirley’s fault, really. She’s the one who hit the $400,000 royal flush.) During this time, MGM became “MGM Mirage” due to its merger with several Mirage corporation properties.
