Hockey Knights in Vegas Episode 65: The Kings, the EBUG, and the Winter Classic

But before that, Chris, and Eddie recap the strong end to 2023 with a convincing 3-2 over the Kings.

Eddie scores the interview of the year with the EBUG! Not sure what that even means? Give it a listen.

Hockey Knights in Vegas Episode 64: Inconsistency and Dark Clouds

Hockey Knights in Vegas: Episode 56

The VGK desperately needed the NHL’s mandatory three-day Christmas break.

Finishing the road trip and embarking on the most difficult short road trip of the season, the VGK’s play was very inconsistent and a previously unseen batch of problems popped up. Mix in the loss of both goaltenders and you have a barely .500 percentage and some troublesome issues that need to be attended to quickly.

With Lindsey off on Christmas vacation, Chris and Eddie dig deep into what’s happening in VGK land and have a little fun at the expense of one of our colleagues in the media.

Hockey Knights in Vegas Episode 63: The Long Road Home and the Dads

Hockey Knights in Vegas is BACK!

The VGK are grinding their way through the hardest part of their schedule: 10 games in 21 days.

They take trips through the Central time zone and western Canada and back-to-backs with travel, yet two things stay the same: They keep racking up points and leading the Pacific Division, Western Conference, and NHL.

Also, the VGK are nearly impossible to beat when the dads are in attendance.

Lindsey, Chris, and Eddie discuss the long and winding road and the VGK’s success after the (so-called) slump.

Hockey Knights in Vegas Episode 62: Huttie and Those Tassels

Hockey Knights in Vegas: Episode 56

Whew! That took awhile, but the VGK seem to have awakened from their scoring sleep!

Coming back from two goals down versus Edmonton to take a point and then drubbing the
Vancouver Canucks 4-1, the VGK took 4 out of a possible 6 points on their trip through
Western Canada.

Lindsey, Chris, and Eddie recap the trip and discuss what the VGK will have to do to keep the scoring going. A couple of riddles are mixed in this week’s episode and the crew discusses the important news and notes from the week in the NHL.

And out of nowhere, a new favorite VGK player is revealed! Care to guess?

Finally, things go a bit off the rails as the merits or demerits of the VGK’s Winter Classic Jersey are thoroughly
examined and Lindsey makes a shocking revelation you won’t want to miss.

All this and more on Episode 62 of Hockey Knights in Vegas.

Hockey Knights in Vegas, Episode 61: The First-Semester Report Card

Hockey Knights in Vegas: Episode 56

The Vegas Golden Knights completed the first quarter of their 2023-2024 defense of the Stanley Cup with a record of 14 wins, four losses, two losses in overtime, and 30 total points. The VGK are first in both the Pacific Division and the Western Conference.

It’s time to give the team their grades for the first semester.

Your teachers, Chris, Lindsay, and Eddie, break down the offense, defense, goaltending, special teams, and coaching, and name their first-semester MVP. Follow along as the grades get posted throughout the episode.

What do you think of the teachers and grades?

Hockey Knights in Vegas Episode 60: On the Road Again

Hockey Knights in Vegas: Episode 56

The VGK righted the ship with a methodical 5-0 win over the Pacific Division doormat San Jose Sharks. Well, at the time, the co-doormats with the Edmonton Oilers! LOL

Next up, the first of two five-game road trips beginning with a 3-0 shutout loss to the Washington Capitals.
Lindsey, Chris, and Eddie break down a game that ended with a score that was not at all indicative of the play.

The other key VGK topic on Episode 60 is a discussion of what the lines will look like as the three currently injured starters are traveling with the team. Two of the players in the lineup versus the Caps are going to be visiting us in the press box soon. Who are they going to be?

The second go-round of Ha Ha Headlines takes aim at the low-hanging fruit from the week in the NHL. But instead of three of the funniest headlines of the week, Episode 60 ends up with a very serious discussion of the biggest story in the entire hockey world. This is must-see for all hockey fans, young and old and regardless of who you’re a fan of.

Hockey Knights in Vegas Episode 59: The Sky Is Falling (OK, Not Really)

Hockey Knights in Vegas: Episode 56

OMG! The VGK lost two games in a row in regulation! It’s official: The sky is falling!

Just kidding.

On Episode 59, Lindsey, Chris, and Eddie talk about the historic start to the VGK’s defense of the Stanley Cup and if anything can be taken away from the 4-2 loss to the upstart Anaheim Ducks (prior to the 4-1 loss to the L.A. Kings yesterday).

Before we get to the Anaheim loss, the crew digs deep into the VGK’s dominant 7-0 beatdown of the Colorado Avalanche last Saturday in the Fortress.

Jack Eichel heating up, Ben Hutton the father of the young Silver Knights defensemen, and a new segment called “HA HA Headlines,” the funniest news from around the NHL, round out this fast-paced episode of Hockey Knights in Vegas.

Hockey Knights in Vegas Episode 58: 19 out of 20 Is a Good Start, Right?

Hockey Knights in Vegas: Episode 56

The VGK are 10 games into the season and have banked 20 out of a possible 21 points with last night’s 5-2 win over Winnipeg.

Coach Cassidy said he wouldn’t push aside the results, because it’s a results business. But some issues with the quality of the VGK’s play recently haven’t gone unnoticed by the coach — or Lindsey, Chris, and Eddie.

The crew talks about the Pacific division’s contenders and pretenders and is savoring Edmonton’s awful start.

Not to bury the lead here, but Eddie drops a huge news update unreported by any VGK media!
Is it real or is it just clickbait? Listen in and decide for yourself!

All that and much more on Episode 58 of Hockey Knights in Vegas.

Hockey Knights in Vegas Episode 57: Is 82-0 out of the question? Just kidding!

Hockey Knights in Vegas: Episode 56

The VGK improved on its NHL record 6-0 start with a 3-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers Tuesday night. The heroics were provided by Paul Cotter with the filthiest goal of the year with under 8 minutes to play in the 3rd period and Shea Theodore sealing the deal with 32.5 seconds left in regulation.

Lindsey, Chris, and Eddie discuss the streak and how the VGK are winning, even when not playing their best hockey. Concerns about the play of Chris Chapman’s man crush Ivan Barbashev are debunked and put to rest. The crew does a deep dive into the evolving and maturing of Paul Cotter and Lindsey debuts what will be a new weekly segment, “Notes From the Net.” This fast-moving episode ends with a shameless ask and PRIZE GIVEAWAY for subscribing to the channel!

Hockey Knights in Vegas: Episode 56

Hockey Knights in Vegas: Episode 56

WARNING! There’s more naughty language in this episode than usual! LOL

The VGK have opened their defense of the Stanley Cup with a 4-0 start. It’s the first time since the 1997-98 Detroit Red Wings. While the first 3 wins were against less-than-top-flight teams, the 3-2 shoot-out win over the Dallas Stars Tuesday night was the first true test and, in our opinion, the actual beginning of the regular season. Lindsey, Chris, and Eddie break down the game in detail and shed some light on some other significant factors that bode well for the VGK down the road.

The crew discusses the evolution of Jack Eichel since Game 1 of last year’s playoffs and ends the discussion about the goalie rotation going forward. Oh, and be careful! The episode opens with Eddie going on an expletive-laden rant about the lack of professional coverage by some of the press corps. Buckle up! Eddie was really on one!
