Only suckers would accept these conditions, with or without high meters. I've fallen to that once at the E-C when the progressive was over 3000. The money I spent was just like thrown out of the window until some lucky dude hit the 5 big suited cards.
Oh, the 4Q video poker experience has definitely been downgraded. The worst recent development has been not the downgrading of the progressives, but the eradication of the 10/7 DB. However, I still give them high marks for their 9/6 JOB and their players' club return of 0.9%, plus their monthly promo that adds another 1.25%. Can't beat it.
There's a reason why my most recent Vegas visits have been orbits between the Four Queens, Emerald Island, and the Rio. Stay at the Rio (<$25/night), hit the VP at the 4Q, play and eat at EI. Lather, rinse, repeat Getting a 1% positive return on my play and getting my rooms and meals for nothing or almost nothing has me sold.
