Four Queens VP Upgrade

My post related to 25c video poker, and neither your post nor VpFREE2 addresses that directly for DDB and DB. The Kings Bar had 9-6-4 DDB and 9-7-5 DB in quarters. Are these now gone, and if so, what do they have now?

I did not see any 9/6 DDB or 9/7 DB in 25c but I didn't check every machine. The 25c DDB I saw was 8/5 and the DB was 9/6. I'm sorry I don't know more. I'll check again next week.

Well I guess my wife and I were there at the right time! She hit a couple of the progressives while playing 9-6-4 DDB. Why would Four Queens go through the trouble of improving the payback only to make it worse than it was a couple days later? 

I've seen that before: the casino wants to downgrade some VP machines, and the slot techs are told to remove the progressives. Standard procedure when killing a VP progressive is to adjust the paytables to make the payback roughly the same as it was before. So, a tech blots out a 9/5 DDB progressive and replaces it with a 9/6 paytable with no progressive. Then, their boss tells them that the intent was to remove the progressives without improving the paytables.

Why would they go through this two-step process, you may ask? Well, any progressive meter money, on VP or slots, that remains when a machine is reprogrammed or replaced has to be recorded and reported to the Gaming Control Board. And I believe that that "leftover" money is considered to belong to the players, not the casino, so it has to be added to some other progressive (not necessarily the same game).
