I am booked for my next visit.Saw the postcard last year.Cost much less.I took taxi also. Don't go before doors open on hot days. Hell outside.Money for the ticket. I pay for special shows I want to see.I bargain hurt as well..I spend tons of money gambling. In my senior years I do what I feel like.Do I wish Las Vegas would go back to old days.Lot of cheap shows and food. Sure I do wish it.Yet that's all it is ,a wish.Gald enjoyed. Some folks just have the negative gene.
Agree about Eagles, but alas I saw them when they were all still alive and playing together about 10 years ago. Great show..I can't bring myself to pay to see the current lineup. Pink Floyd would be a fun ride :)

Well, when you go to see a band that's been around since 1918 and the members are all over 100 years old, what you're mostly going to get is digital this and that, visual and sound effect "enhancements" anyway--their voices would be shot and nigh unrecognizable. So since the Sphere is essentially sound and visual effects, I think it would be just like any of those other Vegas "Aren't those guys dead yet?" feature concerts, but with higher tech. Might be fun.
Sorta like a Mae West strip show after she turned 80.
Funny.I still go for cheap South Point shows. Those entertainers 80,s my age.

That's nice, that you had an opportunity to give her a unique gift. Happy wife,...
I too wonder if there's a band that would be enhanced by the Sphere's special effects. The logistics and copyright/legal hurdles would be monumental, and I think it would have to be an iconic band that's been around forever, like the Eagles or Bruce Springsteen. Of course, they would charge you a sack of gold coins to get in, and that beer would be $50.
The eagles did a run of shows there. So did Phish. I would really like to see Roger Waters do a show there but that is not likely to happen. Roger Waters at Tacoma Dome was the best concert I have been to. Problem is it would probably take him and his team a few years to produce a show there and he is already quite old. He isn't going to just slap some visuals together like the eagles did. He's going to take the time to do it right. I have heard rumors that Metallica might be doing shows there. That'd be pretty cool.

I really like the Tacoma Dome-a. For that matter, I like Tacoma a lot more than the Puget Sound folks seem to.
For the Vegas Big Ball, Metallica seems like kind of a natural choice, since their shtick has never been music as such, but rather, visuals and sound effects.
I just wish it was a LITTLE cheaper, so I could try it out.
Bringing this back to 2026, and looking for a little input on the best way to get tickets, I too am taking my wife and she is really excited to go, but looking to find where best ticket prices/purchases would be or what timing would be best.
I highly doubt this will sell out in the first week of August when we are there so interested in people's thoughts. I have also seen that people who have gone say that you can get a little cheaper tickets in upper 200 and lower 400 sections and have just as good of a view as those in the middle. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks.

Generally the cheapest way to guarantee tickets is purchasing them through the venue. (They unfortunately Ticketmaster). You can usually avoid some fees by purchasing them directly at the physical box office.
If you want to take the risk they do sometimes discount same day tickets at the venue box office but it is risky. There will be others trying to get discounted tickets and you might end up waiting in a long line only to be SOL.
You might be able to find tickets through third party resellers like stubhub, vivid seats, gametime, etc.
You can often find promo codes for these sites to save money on ticket purchases which may or may not bring the cost below purchasing them directly from the box office.
That's going to take some time and effort to research and compare pricing.
Another option is some hotels such as Venetian and Fontainebleau have package deals available on their website that bundle a room with a discounted ticket. Sometimes this will be cheaper than purchasing them separately sometimes it's not.

It's a complete turn off for me that they already charge an insanely high ticket price (to see an 85 year old movie!!) and THEN, I have to pay a fee just for the privilege of buying the tickets. They could easily, and should, sell the tickets/take reservations on their own website.
And those TicketBastard fees aren't small! It's usually $20-30 added to the price of the ticket! Plus taxes, fees, fee taxes, tax fees, and because we can fees. Total cost, $3,865 per ticket. $300 more on weekends.
Not being a Wicked Witch fetishist, I think I'll pass.
